The University of Rome Tor Vergata, located in a south-eastern suburb of Rome, is Italy’s largest medical school with a 640-hectare campus. It was founded in 1982 with the mission of delivering a high-quality education to students prepared to address the ever-changing requirements and possibilities of the twenty-first century workforce. Orazio Schillaci, a professor in the Faculties of Medicine and Surgery, is the current rector.
